  • Parent of 5 yo

“Gina has worked with our nonverbal son. She is amazing at what she does. Before Gina came into our lives we had no idea what PECS or an AAC device was. She helped our son learn how to use a PECS book and guided us in what to do in getting his AAC device.  She opened up a means for us to be able to communicate with our son at a time we struggled to learn how. With her extensive knowledge of different resources, she greatly helped us figure out the various options for us to ask or apply for. We are extremely thankful for the work she has done with our son. She is very passionate at what she does, and we would highly recommend her for your child’s speech needs!”

  • Parent / Behavioral Psychologist

"It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I am writing to recommend Ms. Gina Puma! Gina provided Speech and Language therapy for my then 3-year-old for 2+ years in both articulation and language areas. As a school administrator supervising all areas of Special Education, I have observed and worked with many Speech Language Pathologists. That being said, Gina is one of the MOST knowledgeable and effective educators and therapists I have ever seen. Gina truly distinguishes herself with her work ethic, professionalism, creativity, and seemingly tireless commitment. Her vast teaching skills come “packaged” in a wonderfully friendly, sincere, and caring person. My once barely understandable preschooler is now a thriving second grader who no longer requires speech and language therapy. Years have passed, and I still keep in contact with Gina, as she truly changed my son’s life and in turn our family’s. Again, I recommend her without hesitation to anyone who needs any type of Speech and Language therapy!"

  • Parents of 6 yo

"Gina is absolutely amazing! I can honestly say that without her, my child would not be speaking the way he is today. Her hands-on attention, focus, and incredible attention to detail made all the difference. She truly took the time to understand what interested him and built every session around keeping him engaged, motivated, and improving week after week. Beyond her incredible professional skills, Gina is one of the sweetest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. She has a heart of gold and always goes above and beyond to make time for us—she truly never says no and makes every family feel like a priority. We are so grateful for everything she has done for our child and our family. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and delivers amazing results, Gina is the best of the best."

  • Lorraine - BCBA/Special Education

“Having been in the education field for more than 25 years, and employed by various agencies, I have encountered many Speech professionals. I can, without reservation, say that Gina Puma has stood head and shoulders above all the rest. I was fortunate enough to work with her with several clients between the ages of 2-5 who received special services. Gina was always so compassionate and patient with every student and had a wonderful rapport with them all. She was also a tireless worker who spent countless hours preparing materials and when she couldn’t find what she needed, she created her own! Gina also brought a wealth of knowledge of her field to these students, as well as their parents and to all the ABA therapists working on her team. She was willing to let us observe her sessions and spent additional time with us to teach the most effective evidence-based practices, providing instructions and models to ensure the correct implementation of programs. This dedication ensured the best outcomes for her students, and we all learned a great deal. I am so pleased that a new generation of Speech therapists will be able to learn from the very best. It can only mean better futures for our children and our community.”

  • Special Education/ABA teacher and Team Leader

I had the pleasure of working alongside Gina for over ten years. As the team leader on early intervention cases, collaboration with related service providers is essential. Many of our students struggled most with behavioral and speech-related challenges, and as the leader of ABA teams, it was critical that the speech therapist and I remained aligned on communication and behavior strategies.

Gina was always a true team player, She understood how to help a student sit, attend, and stay engaged, and she was even able to take data on speech-related ABA programs with accuracy and consistency. Beyond her collaboration with ABA teams, Gina often demonstrated how to use PROMPT with many of our students-especially when we had tried multiple strategies to support their speech development.

The number of children she has positively impacted over the years is remarkable. The knowledge and skills she shared with me have stayed with me throughout my career as a special education teacher and continue to guide my work with the students I serve today. To this day, she is only a phone call away whenever I need a idea or strategy for a student.

  • Special Education Teacher / Parent

While working with Gina in a school environment, she serviced my students in both self-contained and inclusion classes. Gina consistently created structured & authentic, hands-on learning experiences for my students, which were aligned with each of the student’s individual goals and needs. As part of our special education team, Gina’s instruction & dedication to my students went beyond her office. She would often provide me with helpful tools, methods and resources to utilize in the classroom, and would always assist parents with suggestions to implement at home as well. Gina’s professional and supportive approach, as a member of the special education team, greatly contributed to the overall success of my students. Her dedication & passion for her field is unmatched! I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of speech therapy!

  • Parent

Gina is hands down the best speech therapist a parent could ask for! When our  son was first diagnosed with a Fragile X Syndrome, we did not know where to turn in terms of having him increase his communication skills. Gina is the utmost consummate professional. She not only helped him become more verbal, but also helped us with various strategies that we incorporated to assist him on a daily basis . She is amazing and we were so incredibly lucky to have her work with our son .

  • Educator/Parent

When my son, who is Autistic, began working with Gina he was 2 years old and struggling to communicate. From the very beginning, she showed incredible kindness, patience, and understanding. She always went above and beyond to help him reach his fullest potential and celebrated every small success along the way. Her dedication and caring nature made a lasting difference in his progress and our lives.

  • Parent

I began working with Ms. Gina when my son was 2 ½ years old. Because he has apraxia, we sought out a therapist who was PROMPT-trained, and we are so grateful to have found her. She has been nothing short of extraordinary. Her patience is unmatched, and she consistently finds creative, thoughtful ways to meet him exactly where he is no matter the level or mood of the day.

Over the past two years, we’ve seen remarkable progress. She celebrates every new skill with the same joy and enthusiasm that I do, which means the world to our family. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Gina has been a blessing to our family and our son. Gina started with my son when he was 18 months old until 3 yrs. Then he was off to preschool! My son still received speech in elementary school and the connection with the school therapist was nothing compared to Gina so we had her come back when my son was in 5th grade. Gina was able to get my son to where he needed to be and speech was no longer needed. We still speak to Gina today and my son is now 18 years old. We LOVE her!
